Seller Agreement
Effective Date: July 6, 2026
1. About This Agreement
This Seller Agreement applies to every user who applies to sell or sells on Puranochic, in addition to our Terms & Conditions. By submitting a seller application or listing an item, you accept this Agreement. Remember that on Puranochic, you are the seller of your items — each sale is a contract between you and the buyer, and Puranochic acts as the marketplace intermediary.
2. Becoming a Seller — Verification
- To sell, you must submit a seller application and pass our identity verification process, which involves providing your legal name, contact details, address, and a verification photo.
- All information you submit must be true, accurate, and your own. Submitting false or someone else's information is grounds for permanent removal from the Platform.
- Your verification information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy — stored securely, with restricted access, and used only for verification and fraud prevention.
- Puranochic may approve or decline applications at its discretion and may request re-verification where reasonably necessary.
3. Service Area
Selling and delivery are available only within Nepal, and currently strictly within the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kirtipur). You must be able to dispatch items to buyers within this service area.
4. Listing Standards
Every listing you create must be accurate and honest. You represent and warrant that:
- You legally own, and have the right to sell, every item you list.
- Photos show the actual item being sold, taken by you — not stock or catalogue images.
- Descriptions accurately state the brand, size, condition, and all flaws (stains, tears, repairs, missing parts, odours). Undisclosed damage is a valid reason for a buyer dispute and refund.
- Prices are stated transparently. Misleading descriptions and false advertising are prohibited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 and the Electronic Commerce Act, 2081.
5. Prohibited Items
You must not list or sell:
- Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorised trademarked goods.
- Stolen goods or items obtained illegally.
- Items whose sale is restricted or prohibited under the laws of Nepal.
- Items or content that promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination.
6. Order Fulfilment
- Ship only after confirmation: Do not dispatch an item until Puranochic confirms the order (i.e., the buyer's payment has been verified by the Platform).
- Dispatch promptly: Hand the exact item purchased to the courier within a reasonable time after confirmation, typically 1–3 business days, per the Shipping & Delivery Policy.
- Package responsibly: Pack items so they arrive in the condition described.
- Repeated failure to fulfil confirmed orders may lead to suspension.
7. Fees & Payouts
- Service fee: Puranochic deducts a 10% service fee from the final sale price of each completed sale.
- When you get paid: Funds are held by the Platform and released to your eSewa account after the buyer's 48-hour inspection window passes without a dispute, or after any dispute is resolved in your favour.
- Payout details: You are responsible for providing accurate eSewa payout details.
- Off-platform sales: Arranging payment outside the Platform's payment process is prohibited and forfeits all buyer/seller protection; it will result in permanent account termination.
8. Returns & Disputes
- If a buyer files a valid dispute (wrong item, undisclosed damage, missing item, or suspected fraud) within the 48-hour window, the payout is frozen while Puranochic reviews the case under the Refund & Return Policy.
- For approved returns, the buyer returns the item at their cost; you then have 24 hours after receiving it to inspect and confirm its condition before the refund is finalised.
- You agree to cooperate in good faith with dispute reviews, including providing requested evidence.
- Sellers whose items are repeatedly subject to valid disputes may be suspended or removed.
9. Your Legal Responsibilities
- As the seller of record, you are responsible for the quality and legality of the items you sell and for honouring your obligations to buyers under the laws of Nepal, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.
- You are solely responsible for any tax obligations that may arise from your sales under the laws of Nepal.
- If your selling activity reaches a scale that requires business registration or listing under the Electronic Commerce Act, 2081, obtaining such registration is your responsibility.
10. Suspension & Termination
Puranochic may suspend or permanently terminate seller privileges, remove listings, or withhold pending payouts where we reasonably suspect fraud, false verification information, sale of prohibited items, attempts to bypass the payment process, or other material breaches of this Agreement or the Terms & Conditions. Legitimately earned payouts for completed, undisputed sales will not be withheld without reason.
